Fine bone china and porcelain has seen a resurgence in popularity over the last few years with tea sets and mix and match items gracing the shelves of shops from Harrods to the local charity shop. People are starting once again to realise that hand painted one off pieces are fantastic as gifts for people of all ages.

There is such a variety of shapes and sizes in china that there really are no limitations on what can be hand painted. Each piece is painted using the traditional techniques employed by the famous potteries of both the UK and Europe with colour and texture being built up between firings.

You can find some of Pilys' china paintings in her gallery at The Ginger Piggery. See this page for location and directions.
